Respect to the creator of the original Magic Internet Money reddit ad, u/mavensbot, who once (in 2013) made a perfectly imperfect image using MS Paint.
He did a better job than a slick high-fee design agency would have done. I noticed that as of several months ago, this user is not banned from r/bitcoin (because that would really be the icing on the mempool cake).
Unfortunately, here we are in 2018, with a dysfunctional, censored shell of a discussion forum (r/bitcoin), with a subscriber count of 847,000+. There you will find lambo and rollercoaster memes, single-sentence low quality banter/commentary, and updates on Segwit adoption plus a second-layer Lightning Network (which has been “just around the corner” for years).
In contrast, r/btc exists to promote free and open Bitcoin discussion. You’ll find many exiled bitcoiners on r/btc, discussing the evolution of the peer to peer electronic cash system known as Bitcoin (a.k.a. Bitcoin Cash).
