I might be a Twatter noob because I’ve only just started blocking (and reporting fake accounts) without hesitation. What a waste of time.
Better to read this instead: Spam Away…
In the last 24 hours my latest tweet has been “liked” by well over two dozen fresh and fake accounts. The obvious pattern:
-real-sounding American girl names but misspelled handles (one or more doubled letters)
-stolen photos, probably from Facebook
-accounts created in 2015 or 2016 but only 8-10 tweets
-low following and follower counts
-retweeting random-ish “crypto” stuff
Also, is U.S. election season ramping up again? Who is needing to be influenced and manipulated?
Despite the amount of spam, Twitter is still the place to reach many people on the internet.
