Ken Shishido is a Bitcoiner OG enthusiast. (He is the guy wearing the hoodie, second from the left!) He is the enthusiast of all enthusiasts, and has been following the trajectory of Bitcoin for many years.

“Never boring, wow!”

-Ken Shishido

Ken stays on the cutting edge of what’s new and happening with Bitcoin news, hence the name of his YouTube channels in both English (Tokyo Bitcoin News International) and Japanese ( 東京ビットコインニュース ).

He has recently been appointed as one of the Bitcoin Association global ambassadors for Bitcoin SV, volunteers who will contribute their time to advance BSV in their specific countries.

Recently I have viewed some of Ken’s videos from his travels to Hangzhou, China, visiting with and interviewing folks about their projects/businesses being developed on BSV. It’s really helpful to have an enthusiast making content, basically in real time, about developments such as:

BitMesh

CityonChain.

This is much appreciated as some of us can’t be travelling around to places like Bali and Hangzhou.

I’ll probably have more to draw/doodle about the two projects mentioned above in the future.

Here’s a thought that resonated with me (as a Bitcoin user), from Wang of the BitMesh team:

“In order to achieve – to what we expect – we expect those products will be used by millions or hundreds of millions of people in the future there are a lot of (things) to be done. First for developers we need easy to use platforms to build scalable applications and for end users we need easy to use wallets, an easy to use and secure wallet to manage those applications and to manage their phones. And that is our challenge right now. The current problem is that for developers there’s not easy to use platforms to build applications and for end users there is not a single wallet that is easy to use to access those applications and to manage their phones.”

-Wang

Although there are a variety of BSV wallets that are sort of user-friendly, I still find myself copy-pasting and emailing addresses between devices or applications, which seems like a not very user-friendly way to use Bitcoin.

p.s. In gladiator terms, Ken is like that one guy you’d be grateful to have on your team instead of 1000 minions who are waiting for moon/lambo by doing nothing.
