A little reminder that bitcoin is not useful unless you use it. 😉
Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, thanks to this guy:
Eight years ago today Laszlo Hanyecz made history when he conducted what is widely believed to be the first ever purchase using bitcoin. Unfortunately, the above article highlights the slow rate of bitcoin (BTC) transactions in relation to Visa, as well as the promise of Lightning to speed up transactions by moving them “off-chain”. I guess that is mainstream media for you, in support of the status quo (= fees for merchants).
On the other hand, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) already facilitates consistently fast, cheap and reliable transactions thanks to a 32 MB block size limit. BCH is chugging along with a fun, new merchant adoption project at:
BCHpizza.org
This initiative is spearheaded by @Kain_niaK, supported by the Bitcoin Cash Fund. It would be awesome to see some worthwhile bounties for pizza shops to claim in the first 100 cities on this site.

In case you missed it, here is a pizza-fied version of the Great Bitcoin Scaling Debate written by Jonald Fyookball. Starring: Alice & Bob, Greg (Maxwell?), “Madame Thwack” (Adam Back??), “Foodstream” (Blockstream???), etc.
The Bitcoin Pizza Story You DIDN’T Hear.
I was going to illustrate this for Bitcoin Pizza Day but dropped the ball (although I’d still like to do this at some point).
